Anna's Curls

Today I actually decided to curl my hair.
An attempt to feel a little more presentable post-pregnancy I suppose.
Anyway,
Anna asked for some curls in her hair too.
So cute, I had to post pics.

2 1/2 weeks

It's already hard to imagine our family without Abby.
We just adore her!

Anna has lots of loves for Abby!

Lovin' It

Last night we had a little Valentines FHE party.
We started by taking our strawberries for a dip.

Then, we made a craft!

And opened up our Valentines notes to eachother!

The notes were my favorite part. The kids came up with some really sweet things to say.
My heart felt full with love for these precious people.
The only sad part was that Brad had to work on the house and couldn't come.
But, we saved him some strawberries and he enjoyed his around midnight!

On Your Mark, Get Set, Go!

After being snowed-in for 4 1/2 days, our family finally ventured out to the Monster Truck Jam last night. Parker had gone once before in Albuquerque but, for the rest of us, it was our inaugural run!

Here's the little ones sitting with Brad. They would do a little "raise the roof" dance after the trucks would do their thing.

After seeing this picture, it's not surprising that Anna declared at the end of the night, "I'm not going to another Monster Jam. They are too loud!" As a side note, she ended up getting tons of hair stuck to her sticky ear plugs from covering her ears all night. What a mess! Remnant of ear plugs remained in her hair today, making a great accessory to her church dress....

It was a fun night. Not sure if I'll ever be tempted to go again but it was fun once. Brad wore an ugly hunter's camo hat that I thought would make a good marker to follow him in crowd. Needless to say, he was only one of many donning the hunter's garb!

Now, here's hoping to not be snowed in this coming week!

The Dish on Thanksgiving

This was the first year our family has travelled for Thanksgiving. We drove to Dallas - such an easy 4 hour drive. We didn't get out of the car one time!!!! The key is to leave early in the morning and a strict "no drinks policy" until 10:30.

We had a great feast at my parents house and visited until the late afternoon. Then we went to stay at The Great Wolf Lodge. It's basically a resort for kids. The hotel has a huge indoor waterpark, kids spa, arcade, adventure game, and storytime. The kids had a great time.

Parker's favorite was the humongo hot tub.

That's the dish on our Thanksgiving! Hope yours was equally delicious!!!!

Fall is Leaving

Nothing says "fall" like bouncing on a trampoline covered in mounds of fallen leaves. For maximum enjoyment you have to exclaim "WEEEEEEEE!" It's the Ultimate Fall Activity; maybe even a step above the pumpkin patch.

Luscious Lips

Grant loves, loves, loves tomatoes. He's known to sneak grape tomatoes off the counter by the handful. We're pretty certain he won't have prostate problems in his future. Last night it ate the top off a tomato, sucked out all the juice, and made a set of juicy lips. Goofy and kinda wierd but entertaining at the same time : )
