He's a Natural

A couple of months back I took this video of Grant dancing.

I don't know where he came up with all these moves
but there are some good ones.

love her

For a while there I thought four kids just might be the end of me.
But, I am sure glad we got her!
Her big smile and cuddles renew my spirit everyday.

JuLights, Part Park City

Our last part of vacation was spent in Park City.
Another fantastic summer vacation spot!

My family met up and visited for a week here.
It was so fantastic!
Thanks to Kathy, I actually have some pictures to document it!!!

We hike PC Hill.  Short, fun hike - great for kids.
Here's a view from us on Top and view from below....

The kids LOVED hanging out in the game room with their cousins.

Sarah, Kristi and I met up to go swimming.

I think I wore Anna out!
(Incidentally this is what my mom & I look like when we fall asleep too.... it's genetic)

We took the kids on the Alpine Slide.
Anna flew down the hill with Brad.

With a combined weight of 70 lbs., the boys
trickled in several minutes later....

All the kids enjoying a popsicle on the patio!

Fun in the pool!

So, that was our July!  It was a dream of a trip and loved sharing it with so many people I hold so close to my heart!!!!  It's not going to be hard to talk me into another road trip soon......

JuLights - Part Salt Lake

We headed down to Salt Lake and spent a couple of days with Kristi and her family.  I must have been waning in my picture-taking by this point!  We hung out, swam, went to an indoor amusement park and just had a great time!  Loved being with the Burgess Family!

We also got to go to Temple Square.  My dad was with us by this point!

JulLights - Part Tetons

Loved being in the mountains!
And look at these cute kids!

JuLights, Part Lander

Next, we headed to a small town in the middle of Wyoming:  Lander.  I went to Lander the first time during my freshman year of college as it was the hometown of my roomie, Jillyn.  I went to Lander often throughout college and Brad proposed to me there too.  Who would have known this small town now makes up a piece of me.

Here's Mitch supervising S'mores:

Kate, Grant, and Josie

Abby couldn't get enough.

George took us out a couple of times to ride horses.  So fun!

Boys had so much fun just hangin out by the creek.

Jillyn and I had this ridicuous notion to take all the kids on a hike up the canyon to some water falls.  We have done this hike a lot in our younger years but it was much more difficult with 7 kids.  Anna had the hardest time.  She told me, "This is the trail of poop, and rock, and snakes!"  Clearly, she was not impressed with the terrain.  She cried the entire way down until some lady who felt bad gave her a piggy back ride.  The water was freezing but it made for a fun day and a good story!

Took the kids to see the Indian Dances.  They really loved it!

Jillyn and Mitch have their own chickens.  Grant loved chasing them, catching them, trapping them and yelling at them.  I overheard him saying, "You haven't seen the last of me!!!!"

Here's me with Jillyn and little sassy Cate!

So much fun in Lander!  Really hoping Brad can come with us next time we go!

JuLights, Part Driggs

Have you ever been to Driggs, Idaho?  It is a bit of heaven on earth.  Atleast in the summer, which is the only time I have visited!  The main draw, of course, was to visit Sarah and her family.  The scenery was just an added bonus!

Here are some pics of the kids:

 Parker, John, Grant

 Anna & Lucie

 Catherine & Abby

 Battle of the Cozy Car

 Princess I and Princess II

FatBoys on the Back Porch

I love, love Idaho.  Wish I could live closer to these yahoos.
