Big Trip

We have had a LOT of buildup for this trip to Florida.  Brad won it last summer at a weekend conference and we FINALLY went the last week of April.  It was so fun!

Here are our carry-ons.  They did not fit in the bag sizer.

The first night we met up with Brent, Rebecca, and cousins at, seriously, the hugest McDonalds I have ever been too.  It was fun to have the cousins together and all visit!

One Done!

Sweet Abby turned 1 on April 15th.  

We had a family party for Brad, Grant, and Abby since they all had a birthday the same week.  

Grant requested ribs and Brad was happy to oblige!

The can is empty but she looks like a guzzler to me!

Takes the Cake

 Parker had cub scout pack meeting where they competed in a cake decorating contest.

Brad and Parker put this little number together.

And, they took 1st place!!  Way to go boys!

Miss Independent

I have written before about the adventures of dressing Anna.

She insists on dressing herself and I mostly don't mind.

Quite proud of her independent spirit, actually.

All the time soothing my nerves with the thought, "I'll just make sure her hair looks nice."

Not necessarily anymore.

What to do?

For the Love!

Brad left for Louisiana this morning so we celebrated Valentines last night.

We ate baked spaghetti (it's red, right?), dipped stuff in chocolate,

and wrote each other valentines.

It was most fun!

Grant made a weapon out of his pretzel stick and strawberries.

So loving.

Parker turns Cupid on us.

Overheard

Grant: "I LOVE pizza and ranch."

Parker: "If you love it, then why don't you marry it?"

Grant: "Eh, I'll just marry TV."

Heaviest Jacket

Grant: "Mom, I need to wear my heaviest jacket."

Me: "OK."

Grant: "Do you know why I put all those acorns in my pockets?"

Me: "Why?"

Grant: "To make my jacket heavier."

Makes sense.
