ALWAYS

Brad says I should get rid of all colored dishware in the house.

You know what I'm talking about!

The standard fight ensued the other morning.
I began handing out the bowls to the kids not paying any attention to who gets what when I hear Anna proclaim in the whine only a 3 year old can perfect, "But I ALWAYS get the small blue and green bowl!" Oh boy, here we go... But Grant takes care of it himself, "No, Anna. You ALMOST always!"

Count Grantula

This is how Grant emerged from his bath this evening.

Apparently he rinses his hair by bending over and dipping
his head in the bath water.
It's sort of a Downward Dog approach.

Float Hopes!

Isn't it amazing what your kids will do for SOMEONE ELSE?

Swimming lessons are another case in point why I'll never homeschool!

A Banner Day

Brad spent Father's Day working in Joplin doing tornado clean-up.
So, we made him a welcome banner to greet him.
It took only 3 colors of paint and one melt-down from Anna to complete!

Isn't it Grand?

The Turner Family invited myself and the kids on an overnight to Grand Lake while the men went to volunteer for clean up in Joplin. The Turner kids are so amazing and were so good to my kids. It was a welcome reprieve for me and I thoroughly enjoyed the stay. I didn't take very many pictures but here's a couple.

Tubing!

Parker and his new friend, Luke.

Grant at the top of the somewhat steep slide on the dock.
After he climbed up for the first time he asked,
"Should I really do it Mom??"
To which I replied, "OF COURSE!!!"

Summer Comes in Two's

I know it's summer now because we bought 2 scrumptious watermelons in a row.

And, because schools out tomorrow.
This is Grant with his teacher Ms. Parker and her assistant Ms. J.
Ms. Parker has a son named Grant too and is a fabulous teacher.
I wish I would have taken a picture with his previous teacher, Ms. Alley.
She was really great too!
